A Summit for Smart Capital
Beyond Capital Summit is designed to explore the potential of investments in the country and the ways to incorporate entrepreneurs and startups in international investments. This will happen by connecting the different actors in the ecosystem to listen to each other and understand and address the issue at hand.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative to celebrate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs all over the world; it takes a place in November of each year in 170 countries, where thousands of events and competitions inspire millions of people. This year, and in the spirit of collaboration, 249Startups participating in GEW Sudan activities organized by Innovation & entrepreneurship Community IEC in its 8th edition happening between the 16th to 19th of November, will host the first Beyond Capital Investment Summit as part of the week’s activities.

Sudan Angels is the first Angel Investors Network in Sudan dedicated to connecting early stage Sudanese businesses with angel investors . It aims to bring together businesses looking for investment with investors who has the capital, contacts and knowledge to help them succeed and develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem. This training workshop will give introduction to first-time Angel Investments that are willing to invest a minimum 5000 $ into startups within the next 12 months. Legal training for Lawyers
( Only to lawyers, Law graduates & students interested in SMEs & Startup’s laws )
According to a recent study by 249Startups, about half of the surveyed firms were not officially registered, with 71.4% of them having the intention to register. The most common reason for not registering a business is the lack of knowledge about the registration process & advisory, followed by the high registration cost.
249Startups and Abdeen & Co Legal Firm are hosting a workshop on Business Legal 101 to share insights and lessons to understand how lawyers can play a major role in supporting businesses to operate efficiently, while also taking legal precautions. Apply to explore the importance of laws in driving the business landscape in Sudan.

As entrepreneurship continues to reshape the world, 249Startups, a home for innovation that provides the space, support, access to financing, inspiration, and community needed for a strong and vibrant entrepreneurial culture introduces its annual Demo-Day event for the SANAD Business program this upcoming week.
Selected graduates of the SANAD SMEs Incubation program will be presenting their business growth of the past 4 months to selected members from the community of Investors, Microfinance & Banking institutions, Development organizations as well as Private sector companies to secure further capital, business deals, and potential contracts.
